The folklore from Riau Islands entitled Jenang Perkasa, which the author wrote, outlines the life of the sampan tribe or the
sea tribes that inhabit along the coast of Bintan Island. In addition, this story also tells of the power struggle combined with
the fighting for a beautiful woman with the appearance of Princess Bintan. The point is that this story contains a moral
message, that is, the truth must defeat evil.
The story of Jenang Perkasa has been recycled according to the author's imagination by not changing the basic theme.
Some of the characters and events that the author deliberately presents in the hope that this story will be more interesting to
read, can display the character of the Malay people of Riau Islands, especially in hopes of enriching moral messages.
